NCANS membership is open to everyone enrolled in an accredited North Carolina nursing school at all levels, nursing school faculty and pre-nursing students. Nursing or pre-nursing students in any state-approved program preparing for registered nurse licensure, or registered nurses in a program leading to a baccalaureate in nursing, are eligible for membership. Nursing students in generic masters and doctoral programs can also join. To join NCANS, simply join our parent organization, the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). NSNA dues are $35 for the first year, $40 your second year, or $70 for two years at one time. There are no refunds except for overpayments as per NSNA policy. CLICK HERE TO BECOME A MEMBER
Since 1958, the North Carolina Association of Nursing Students (NCANS) has served as the statewide professionalizing vehicle of North Carolina nursing students. Conceived as a student branch of the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA), NCANS has historically worked with and continues currently to work with NCNA to aid nursing students in making the important transition from students to licensed nurses.
